Tuesday, Oct 12th - Stated meeting
Brisket, green beans and rolls.

Saturday, Oct 16th - 50 -55 60 year dinner

We will take the leftover brisket and make BBQ sandwiches and depending how much we have left use for a called or possibly stated meeting .

How much do you know about the man who was elected to serve as Worshipful Master of Irving Lodge during the current Masonic Year? Michael “Mike” Steven Shrum graduated from Nimitz High School in Irving. His father Richard, was a Master Mason in Irving Lodge. As a teenager Mike joined Irving DeMolay Chapter and served his chapter and the State DeMolay Assoc. in many offices of leadership. He attended Tyler Jr. College and North Lake College. His current family consist of his wife Dianne and his Masonic Widowed mother Vlasta . He also has two grown children; a daughter Summer and a son Chris. Mike Shrum was Raised a Master Mason in Irving Lodge on April 16, 2004. He was immediately appointed to serve as Junior Steward for the Masonic Year 2004-05. After serving through the progressive line of officers, he was installed as Worshipful Master of Irving Lodge #1218 for the Masonic Year 2010-11. Mike completed almost every training course that the Grand Lodge of Texas has to offer.

Hats Off to Mike for his devotion and dedication to Masonry in general and Irving Lodge in particular. We dedicate this bulletin to Michael Steven Shrum. Each of us should let Mike know how much we appreciate him by giving him a hug; a hand shake; or a pat on the back, or all of the same.

The Grand Lodge of Texas has proclaimed Saturday, October 12, 2013 (10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) as Texas Masonic Family Day. Festivities will be enjoyed at the Texas Masonic Retirement Center at 1801 West Division Street in Arlington, Texas.

There will be food and drink concessions; a free Antique & Classic Car Show; a Bar-B-Q Cook Off; & Live Music. Children’s activities include a hay ride; jump house; pumpkin patch and a dunkin’ booth.  If you can’t have fun at this, you must have a lasso on the wrong calf.

Irving Lodge is pleased to announce the Honor Night for our Masonic Widows and the dedicated Funeral Committee on Saturday, September 18, 2010 with a covered dish dinner at 6:30 P.M.

As usual for our covered dish dinners, the Lodge will provide the meat, bread, and drinks. All others are asked to bring a vegetable, salad or dessert. We grieve at the death of our Brothers in Masonry and we hold their widows close in our hearts.

The Irving Scottish Rite Club will hold their monthly meeting at the Irving Lodge on Tuesday evening at 6:30 P.M. They will enjoy a covered dish dinner before they conduct the business of the club. The meal and meeting is open to all masons and friends.
