IN MEMORIAM

Lawrence Calvin Wilcoxen was born July 17, 1923. He was Raised a Master Mason in Irving Lodge #1218 on February 18, 1985. He became an Endowed Member of Irving Lodge on Nov. 13, 1999. Brother Wilcoxen answered the call of the Death Angel and ascended to the Celestial Lodge Above on February 12, 2012.

“One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord , and to enquire in his Temple.”
(Psalms 27:4)

We dedicate this bulletin to the memory of Lawrence Calvin Wilcoxen and we pray for his family and loved ones. May his memory always abide in the hearts of those who knew him.

We also ask that you remember our sick and their families. Many are in need of your prayers.

COMMUNITY BUILDER AWARD

Irving Lodge is pleased to announce the upcoming presentation of the distinguished Masonic Community Builder Award to one of Irving’s most favored. Ms. Becky Fann has been chosen by Irving Lodge to receive this well deserved recognition.

The presentation will be made in Irving Lodge at 6:30 P.M. on Saturday March 24, 2012 at a covered dish dinner called for this occasion. The Lodge will provide the meat, drinks, and bread. All others are asked to bring a salad, vegetable or dessert. This will be an open meeting for all the family and friends of Ms. Fann and all the families and friends of Masonry.

HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN ?

The Lodge has attempted to keep everyone reminded that dues are past due. If you have forgotten, here is another reminder. Dues in Irving Lodge are now $100 per year and are always due in advance by December 31 for the following year. Please check you dues Card. It should read “Dues paid through 12/31/2012”. If it lists the date of 12/31/2011 then you are behind on you dues for 2012. The Secretary is in the process of sending out individual reminders in the form of a letter asking all the members to make every effort to remain current with the Lodge dues.

OFFICERS AND PAST MASTERS

SMILE

A woman was trying very hard to get the ketchup out of a bottle. During her struggles the phone rang so she asked her 4 year old daughter to answer the phone. “Mommy can’t come to the phone to talk to you right now. She’s hitting the bottle.”

A little girl had just finished her first week of school. ‘ I’m just wasting my time,’ she said to her mother. ‘ I can’t read, I can’t write, and they won’t let me talk!’
