Brother Billy G. Wilson was born on January 16, 1930.   He was made a Master Mason in Irving
Lodge #1218 on April 26, 1971.  He suffered a stroke in 2009 and was disabled until he received a call to the Celestial Lodge Above on April 28, 2012.

Brother James Allen Taylor was born October 2, 1954.  He was Raised a Master Mason in Irving
Lodge #1218 on August 25, 1986.  He answered the call of the Death Angel on May 19, 2012.

“Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”
(Ecclesiastes 12:7)

We dedicate this bulletin to the memory of Brother Billy G. Wilson and Brother James Allen Taylor. Their chairs will be empty but our hearts will be full of cherished memories as we register them in attendance in our “Lodge of Sorrow”.

The new set of Officers for Irving Lodge #1218 will be installed on Saturday, June 30, 2012 in the Irving Masonic Lodge Room at 7:00 P.M.  This is an open meeting with all our families and friends invited to attend.  If your family still has question about this gentle fraternity of freemasonry, now is the chance to witness Masonic Ritual in its Due and Ancient Form.  A lot of answers may be given during this Ceremony to those who still wonder what masonry is all about.  We look forward to seeing you and any friend you may want to invite. If you have not met all the officers, come and meet them at a reception  after the installation.

THE TIME IS NOW!  If you do not have a current dues card you don’t have much time to get one. Please check your dues Card.  It should read “Dues paid through 12/31/2012”.   If it lists the date of 12/31/2011 then you are behind on you dues for 2012.  Any member who does not have a paid up dues card by the twenty third (23rd) day of June, will be subject to automatic suspension.

(Written by kids 7 to 10 years old)

You got to find somebody who like the same stuff you like. If you like sports, she should like it too and keep the chips and dips coming.

No person really decides before they grow up who they’re going to marry.  God decides it all way before, and you get to find out later who you’re stuck with.

You can tell if two people are married based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids.

Q. What should people do on a date?
A. Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each other.  Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough.

Q. When is it okay to kiss someone?
A.  When they are rich.

Q.  Is it better to be single or married?
A. It’s better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need someone to clean up after them.
