Texas Masonry now enters a new year. This includes the pleasure of honoring the new District Deputy Grand Master for District 14B, R:. W:. Gregg Yates.  He is making his Official Visit at the Stated Meeting of Irving Lodge on Tuesday, March 11, 2014.  The District Deputy Grand Master is a representative of the Grand Master and on his Official Visit is to be accorded the same recognition and honor due the Grand Master. A proper reception will be made near the first of the meeting and his message from the Grand Master will be delivered at the end of business.

Past Master Dean Donaldson conducts ritual instructions on Tuesday Nights at 6:30 PM when no lodge work has been scheduled.  Participation is encouraged, but sitting on the sideline is allowed for any who have received the degree being studied.

There are some jobs which are a part of an officer’s responsibilities in a Masonic Lodge.  An accepted chore for the Stewards is to provide refreshments at our meetings.  Over the past 20 years that chore has evolved into one of major responsibilities.  It is now expected by the membership of Irving Lodge that on Stated Meeting nights, a satisfying meal will be provided prior to the meeting.  On Degree nights they provide the same before the Meeting and on Monday evenings when no degrees are scheduled, a snack bar is supplied.  This is more than just a minor chore for the Stewards and deserves a show of appreciation from the members to the Stewards.   Shake their hands and thank them for their extra efforts to satisfy you.

Sign up your foursome for our second annual Golf Tournament.  It will be held at Riverchase Golf Club on April 5th, 2014.  Contact Bro. Larry Gammill for details.   (972) 841-2085 or slabdancer43@
