WORKER BEES — Lodge clean up party

The Worker Bees will meet Saturday, March 7th at Wonderful World of Cooking on Story road at 8am for Breakfast.  Then at nine will meet those who could not come to breakfast at the Lodge.  We will work on the upstairs part of the Lodge, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping, and cleaning glass on the show case.

Lodge Brothers, I would like for you to know that our lodge is greatly improved by the efforts of our Worker Bees.  Any Brother who feels like he has the time can join us.  Lots of workers make the job easier and quicker, and the fellowship is great too.  “Thank You Worker Bees”.    – Dean Donaldson, Past Master

8 CHARACTERISTICS OF PROPER LODGE CULTURE

Excerpt from the Grand Master’s Conference.
17 Irving Brothers attended.

1.  Excellent Masonic ritual from memory
2.  Masonic Education program at Stated meetings
3.  Festive Boards
4.  Member Commitment – insist upon sacrifice from members
5.  Candidate Admission – must explain expectations and commitment
6.  Masonic Charity – immediate community, members, families
7.  Financial Commitment – Lodge dues are way too cheap
8.  Respectful Dress – casual dress leads to lack of respect

LAUGH A LITTLE

There was a very gracious lady who was mailing an old family Bible to her brother in another part of the country.
"Is there anything breakable in here?" asked the postal clerk.
"Only the Ten Commandments." answered the lady.

A Sunday School teacher began her lesson with a question, "Boys and girls, what do we know about God?"
A hand shot up in the air. "He is an artist!" said the kindergarten boy.
"Really? How do you know?" the teacher asked.
"You know - Our Father, who does art in Heaven..."
