IN MEMORIAM — Brother Travis G. Dixson was born in Alvin Texas on August 15th 1933.  A veteran of the Korean War and Sales Representative for Champion International Corp., Brother Dixson petitioned Irving Masonic Lodge for the Degrees in Freemasonry and was Initiated on September 26, 1988 at the age of 54.  He passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on December 8, 1989.   And was raised a Master Mason on April 30, 1990.  Brother Dixson laid down his working tools on May 9th, 2015.
We dedicate this bulletin to the memory of Brother Travis G. Dixson.  Our prayers are for peace and consolation for his family.

INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS — Irving Masonic Lodge #1218 is pleased to invite you and your friends to the Installation of Officers for the Masonic Year 2015/2016 on Saturday, June 27, 2015.  Installation will begin in the Lodge Room at 7:00 P.M.  Following the usual course of progression, Brother John Samuel will be installed as the Worshipful Master.  In addition, other brethren will be installed into their newly elected and appointed offices.  The ceremony is enlightening for those who are not familiar with the intent and purposes of this ancient Order of Freemasonry.  Past Master Dean Donaldson will be the Installing Officer.  The principles and ideals of Freemasonry are enumerated during the ceremony.   A cordial reception with refreshments will be held in the C. J. Range Memorial Hall downstairs after the Installation Ceremonies.

THE LAST CALL FOR ANNUAL DUES — On June 23 the Lodge must close the book and those who have not paid their 2015 dues will be subject to automatic suspension.  We hope that we do not lose you from our membership due to being suspended.  If you are facing this and have a serious problem paying your dues, please contact the Worshipful Master or the Secretary.  (972) 253-5600    2015 Dues remain $100.00.

3rd ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT — Irving Masonic Lodge hosts our annual 4 man best ball scramble golf tournament benefiting Masonic Charities on Saturday June 13, 2015. (rescheduled for weather) Registration begins at 11:00 AM.  GRAND OAKS GOLF CLUB — 3502 Country Club Drive, Grand Prairie, TX 75052       Walk-on day of tournament allowed for $125/golfer
For more information call  (972) 438-8792 or Email  slabdancer43@reagan.com

4th OF JULY PARADE — Everyone loves a parade!  The Worshipful Master has promised that the downstairs of the Lodge building will be open for a break from the heat.  Please do not take the chairs of the lodge outside.  Bring your lawn chair.  The coke box will be open but remember that this is an honor system and the lodge requests a donation of $ .50 for all drinks taken.  Please help us keep down the cost to the lodge for providing these conveniences.

WORKER BEES: — June the 20th at 8 AM we will meet at PJ’s for breakfast, then at the Lodge at 9am to clean lodge for the installation of Officers.  We will be vacuuming the upstairs and downstairs, cleaning bathrooms and sweeping and mopping the kitchen.  We need all the help we can get.

LAUGHING MATTERS — If you ever get cold, just stand in the corner for a bit.  They’re usually around 90 degrees.    Did you hear the one about the two guys that stole a calendar?  They each got six months.
I think I want a job cleaning mirrors.  It’s just something I could really see myself doing.
What’s orange and sounds like a parrot?  A carrot.
What do you call a sleep walking Nun?  A roaming catholic.
What’s blue and smells like red paint?  Blue paint.
